Dedicated PET-CT Scanner Facility is Underway at Fairfield Medical Center

With a huge demand for an in hospital permanent PET—CT scanner, Fairfield Medical Center reached out to Lincoln Construction to be a partner on the project. The 2,750 square foot build-out will house a 22,000 pound PET Scanner, 30,000 pounds of lead wall shielding, two uptake rooms, new restroom facilities, an office support area, new HVAC mechanicals, along with updated electrical and technology throughout. With available area within the hospital at a premium, the extensive planning that was started in June 2024 accounted for relocations of a third-floor conference area within the existing waiting area and the chapel was relocated to the vacated conference area – all in preparation for the project to take place.
